The scorpion would do quite nasty things if he got you. Mabye not kill you, but it'd hurt real bad. I don't know about the spider, but I'd bet he's not poisonous. It seems to me that if he was going to be poisonous he wouldn't need to be so big. Maybe Suzanne will let us know.
All spiders are venomous. It's just a matter of how much you react to that venom. So no, it's probably not dangerous. But don't touch it! Those little hairs probably would rub off and get in your skin and eyes. That's the tarantula's main defense.
As for scorpions, generally the smaller species are more venomous than the big ones.
I am so glad I didn't witness that scorpion in person. Remember how much I freaked out about the spider? Yeah, the scorpion would have sent me screaming out of the building.
