Summer Time

Well, we made it all the way to April 4th (I think it was) before turning on the AC. It was only for about 10 minutes, and partly just to make sure it is working alright, which it is. But that sure seems like a bad sign.

Same with us! It was the night of the 4th when I shut all the windows and turned on the AC because it was too hot and humid, and no breeze besides.

Now it's 52 degrees outside.

Yes, on the 4th at our house it was 86 degrees upstairs, where we sleep. And oh so very sticky and damp.

I will say this for us thought, we just got our utility bill for March and it is wonderfully, gloriously low!

While it might get hot here, I am oh so grateful it doesn't get humid. I just feel like I can't breathe.

My brother will know this quote and know if it is genuine or apocryphal. I can only remember hearing it said that Brigham Young once commented on the weather in St. George with a statement something like this: "If I only had a house in St. George and a house in hell, I'd summer over in hell." By the way, have you toured BY's winter house there in St. George? Lovely.

I dare say Clark has toured BY's house in St. George, and Jacob Hamblin's as well.

:)

The funny thing is, Clark and I have both toured the BY winter home down here, but not since we've lived down here. I keep thinking we should make an outing of it and go. We did go on a tour of the tabernacle, thought, back in October.
